VP of Software Engineering

EagleView Technologies is the leading provider of roofing estimates using highly sophisticated patent pending technology. They are expanding rapidly and are interested in recruiting an experienced VP of Software Engineering with proven experience in a fast-paced startup environment.

Requirements:

• Experience in architecting complex solutions - THIS IS REQUIRED as this position involves a heavy architectural element.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup company even with incomplete requirements
• Education: BS or equivalent in Computer Science
• Previous experience as a VP of Engineering at a startup company or as a Director of Engineering in a larger Internet company, managing a staff of at least 25. Experience in working with program managers, developers, and QA.
• Experience in working with a services company that has Internet operations.
• Experience with Agile Methodologies
• Ability to prioritize Software Development Tasks to meet business needs.
• Experience with outsourcing and the ability to coordinate with outsourced teams.
• Ability to code and design software solutions - must have current and relevant experience.
• Broad knowledge of IT
• Excellent people management skills

Job Responsibilities:

This position will be part of the executive team. Responsibilities include:

• Preparing accurate cost analyses of all development projects and forecasts accurate project completion dates.
• Manage operations and IT
• Gathering customer requirements and translating them into Product Roadmaps
• Building consensus at the executive level as well as at the team level
• Negotiating contracts with external vendors
• Collaborating with the CTO in developing next-generation products.
