Quality Assurance Engineer Job Description

A company in downtown Seattle is looking for a sharp Senior Test Engineer. This is a full time position with a company that has a wonderful work atmosphere and challenging responsibilities.

Job description:

• Responsibilities include creating and executing manual and automated test cases and test plans for functionality, regression and compatibility.
• Update in-house test harnesses written in C#.
• Write quality defect reports
• Perform installation, configuration and maintenance of lab servers and equipment.
• Ability to work both independently and on teams
• Strong initiative to learn new skills
• Interact with developers regarding technical and functional behaviors of the features under development.
• Comfortable working with tight schedules and short development cycles
• UI testing
• Test case writing

• Proficient with Office 2000, 2003, XP, 2007 (Word, Excel, Access)

Experience:

• 3-5+ years experience in software testing.
• Experience using a variety of test tools and techniques, including experience with black box and white box test environments.
