Software Tech Support Engineer

  

A Seattle company that specializes in address management software is seeking a top notch technical support engineer to provide superior technical customer service to their clients. This is a new position to help support their rapidly expanding customer base.

 

Job Description:

 

We are looking for a technical superstar who can hit the ground running at the code level to help customers with their high-end, enterprise level, custom integrations of products. This is a frontline support position and requires in-depth technical knowledge as well as postal regulation information.  A strong technical background is essential and hands-on coding with VBA or C# is required.

 

Other job duties include:

  • Comprehensive end-user support via phone and e-mail
  • Assist sales with technical issues to win new accounts
  • Conduct regular QA and beta testing
  • Research and write KB articles
  • Provide end-user training

 

Required Skills:

  • 4-year degree. Computer Science preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of direct end-user/customer support experience
  • Software industry experience strongly preferred
  • VBA or other coding experience/education is essential - applicants without this cannot be considered
  • Proficient with MS Office - Excel and Access in particular
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge/experience with Windows 9x, NT, 2000, NT Server, SQL
  • Strong interpersonal skills 
  • Team player
  • Excellent communication skills and calm personality required
